  • Once you get past the slightly absurd premise this is a really good military anime show.

Undeniably the plot is a bit odd but bare with it. In the future the Japanese Government form an organisation called MBA to control (which basicly means destroy) any undesirable media materials, and they give them weapons/military powers to do this. Then in a totally paradoxical move they grant libraries the ability to defend any and all media from the MBA. In order to do this they also give the libraries (LDF) weapons/military powers. This effectively starts a state sponsored civil war... go figure. The story then focuses on Kasahara Iku the first women to get admitted into the prestigous LDF special task force (essentially a special forces type unit).

The animation is solid and if you ignore the backdrop the plotlines are actually very good. There is lots of characteristaion and development which is uusual for such a short show. The voice talent is also very good and all of the leads are particularly enjoyable to watch.

All in all this is a very good show and I would have given it a better score if not for that slightly silly setting. Watch and enjoy.moreless
