I agree about the accent. But other than that, this was a great episode. It was surprising to learn that Cal and Gillian have only known each other for 7 years. For some reason, I've thought they knew each other for a lot longer.

And does anyone else get the feeling that Loker may be a problem in the future?

Angus Macfadyen, who played Jimmy Doyle, is Scottish. So it's a Scot, not an American, who thinks you talk like that! LOL

Of course it was number one in its time slot. It was a great episode of a great show and with no worth mentioning competition.

I agree Haldrey, and I'm glad that this show got a third season because it's worth it.

It was an excellent episode. Finally we learn how Cal and Gillian met and I would've never imagined it had been this way. But they make a great team.

But they also make a great couple. I think Gillian keeps him sane. Who knows what would become of Cal if she wasn't by his side. I like how she cares about him and how he values her work and her opinion.

The case was very interesting as well as sad. But good the truth won in the end.

    Can't wait for next week.

What I like too is that we not only got to see how they met but there are seven years in between and obviously so much history together...looking forward to seeing more of them...Good to see you on here too...I have become addicted to this programme as well...

Did they say whether or not Gillian was married at the time? I know when she got divorced she said she'd been unhappy for 5 years so was just curious.
