  • Trivia

    • Cal: It sounds a lot like PTSD.
Post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD is a severe anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to any event that results in physical trauma or psychological trauma.

    • Cal: Shepherd's pie.

Shepherd's pie, synonymously known as Cottage pie refers to an English meat pie made with beef mince and with a crust made from mashed potato. A variation on this dish using lamb mince is known as shepherd's pie. Unlike standard pies, cottage or shepherd's pie does not include a bottom pastry crust.

  • Quotes

    • Ria: (about Cpt. Renshaw) That's the kind of guy I'd follow into war.
Gillian: That's because he was flirting with you the entire time.

    • Sgt. Turley: Listen, I-I know, I know what you're thinking.
      Cal: No, you don't.
Sgt. Turley: I don't have PTSD.
Cal: (sarcastically) Oh, excuse me, where did you do your post doctorate work?

    • Cal: (about Jeff) I have to agree. He's completely unstable.
Gillian: Lightman has that effect on people.
      Cal: Try being her.

    • Cal: Gillian. Be the kid. Go on. Heels off, make yourself shorter. You know, shouldn't be too difficult.

    • Cal: And that's the official version.
Ria: What do you think, there's more than one version?
Cal: There's always more than one version.

    • Cal: What are you doing here?
Emily: Nothing. I, uh, I got you a cactus.
      Cal: Why?
      Emily: Why not?
      Cal: What have you done?
Emily: I haven't done anything. I just... It-it reminded me of you.
