Gillian: You are not to blame for the murders of that man's family, Cal.
Cal: I'm not talking about murders. Actually I'm talking about the cover-ups afterwards. I mean, me that's one thing. But you... you're way better than that. Which is something that's been bothering me for a long time. Now, you know, whatever it is that you're hiding from me, I forgive you.
Gillian: I have never hidden anything from you, Cal. Let it go.

Cal: Hey! I thought I told you to go to Torres's place.
Emily: No, I will when she gets off work. If it's safe enough for everyone else here then it's safe enough for me.
Cal: That's a good point.
Emily (worried): What happened to your face?
Cal: I fell, officer.

Cal: So, all that talk about you being a bad liar, it's just an act. Right? That's a lie.
Gillian: (crying) Depends on the lie.

Gillian: Why did you choose to work in counter-terrorism? It is a choice.
Cal: Well, the power of terrorists, it lies in the fear of the innocent. I want to, um... take that power away, you know?

Gillian: You know I had no idea our sessions were being recorded back then.
Cal: You know, since we're so close, that means you, scientifically speaking, of course, are my blind spot, which you well know.
Gillian: Meaning you don't believe me.
Cal: I didn't say that. Did I say that?
Gillian: Emotionally, you want to believe me. Scientifically, you can't be sure.
