  • Cal is in the courtroom!

One of the most funniest episode. I liked the dialogues between Cal and Zoe, Torres and Loker. There was a plenty of enjoyable moments. I'm definitely a fan of the conversations between Zoe and Cal. Their relationships and their jokes about themselves are very amusing and always make me smile. The case is not mysterious. An old man dies and everybody accuse of his young wife. At the beginning Cal works for the prosecutor and later he switchs his side and helps his ex-wife. He makes some trouble as expected. Gillian didn't appear enough in this episode and this is the only part that I'm sad about.moreless
  • The zoe and cal thing is getting old

I've never been a fan of zoe and that's not because I'ma fan of Cal and Gillian, I just get sick of the same old same old. I would like to see a show dedicated to Gillian's life a little bit more, perhaps a love interest for her.

In this episode we see a young woman blamed for the murder of her mch older husband, Cal takes the case on because his ex is the womans lawyer. We see Cal on the stand being his decidedly blasé and direct, yet secretly plotting self. He finds out that the woman is innocent and simply feeling guilty over paying off her friend to keep a sordid threesome love affair secret. In the end it turns out to be the husbands best friend and confidante who injected him with cyanide as a mercy killing due to a terminal and aggressive illness. How Cal read the jury members was very interesting, but I didn't think the rest of the team got enough screen time.moreless
  • REaly unique and interesting episode!

This show produces another amazing episode with this one. I thought the whole storyline was quite good, and the little character interactions really made it into something spectacular.

I thought the whole storyline was very well written. Lightman was terrific within the courtroom, and that was really something amazing to witness and behold! Quite funny, too, and that's what made it so good.

The character interactions were definitely ironed out perfectly. Zoe and Cal were great toggether (as usual) and of course, Loker and Torres were amazing in their scenes!

Quite an amazing episode, which I would highl y recommend. Keep it up Lie To Mee, and I hope we get more amazing episodes, just like this one! Great work, guys!moreless

    • Foster: You're not just doing this to push Zoe's buttons. There's something else going on here.
Lightman: This is about justice, Foster.
      Foster: There's something else. Zoe-related.
Lightman: Justice for a murder victim.
Foster: By avoiding my question, you just anwered it. I just hope for all our sakes that you know what you're doing.
      Lightman: Join the club.

    • (Dr. Lightman arrives to the court house with Torres and Loker)
Zoe: What? You couldn't take me one-on-one?
Cal: Nah. Been there, done that.

    • Torres: Studies show that the most succesful marriages are the ones where husbands are at least 5 years older than their wives.
Dr. Lightman: So, being with an older man broadens your horizons, does it?
Torres: I'm sure Clara learned a lot from Victor.
Loker: Yeah, I'm sure she did... About denture cream.
Dr. Lightman: You see, you're not listening again. Loker, what Torres is saying is that she needs to be stimulated and challenged. By experience. (pause) So, who was this old fart then, eh?

    • Clara: (About Gillian) She's a beautiful woman.
      Cal: She's my Leo.
      Clara: What about Zoe?
Cal: Well, to say you stopped loving someone you once loved more than anything else in the world, I mean that would be a lie. But you move on. Don't you? You have to move on.

    • Torres: Anyways, who really cares what people do in their bedrooms.
      Loker: Everyone.

    • Cal: I expected a little bit more than a slap from the world's most notorious murder suspect.
Clara: Yeah. Well, I guess I've been respectable for too long.

    • Cal: Well, no one can tell the whole truth, your honor. I mean, it's subjective. It's filtered through our own experiences. And that's the real truth.
Judge Quinn: Well, how about promising to be honest to the best of your ability?
      Cal: Now, you're talking.

    • Clara: Seems there's a lot of chemistry there between you and your ex-wife.
Cal: Well, there's a lot of chemistry in Chernobyl.

    • Zoe: Dr. Lightman was born hostile. He also happens to be my ex-husband.
      Cal: (chuckles) Guilty as charged.

    • Zoe: I promise to play nice today.
Cal: Last time you said that you left claw marks.

    • Zoe: How was the sex?
Cal: Oh, hello, Zoe. Well it's been a long time. Wha-What do you need? You need a reference?
Zoe: I haven't had any trouble getting offers so far.

    • Cal: Well, there's a lot of chemistry in Chernobyl.
The Chernobyl disaster was a nuclear accident that occurred on April 26, 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine. It is the worst nuclear power plant accident in history and is the only level 7 event on the International Nuclear Event Scale.
