  • Great photography and production partially ruined by an awful narration by Oprah.

The 11 part series tackles various subject such as mammals or insects. The photography is breathtaking, and the detail that is captured is amazing.

The major drawback is the narration. Oprah is so boring and bland, it nearly ruins the series. The more I watch, the lower score I want to give, because Oprah is just that bad. Good narrators in my book include Morgan Freeman in "March of the Penguins" was amazing, Leonard Nemoy (Spock of the original Star Trek), and David Attenborough of the BBC Life series.

I almost feel bad, because there was probably so much work that went into the production. I hope Discovery gets a new narrator when they release it on DVDmoreless
