Hunt: I should inform you that I intend to drink the equivalent of the North Sea in whisky tonight, so raid your piggy banks.
Merrick [ to Hunt ]: It's a pleasure doing business with you. You know where to find me. Sam: Yeah, the nearest sewer. Hunt: He got me out!
Hunt: The last thing I remember is taking a swing for you in the pub. Look, I know it looks bad. Sam: Well, that's the understatement of the century. you may remember threatening the victim's life… in front of a dozen or so witnesses… at the courthouse?
Sam: Why don't we go to Morgan with what we know? Hunt: And trust a man from Hyde? No chance.
(After a meeting with acting DCI Frank Morgan.) Chris: What did he say, Boss, what's he like? Sam: Well, he seems very… professional. Ray: Bastard! That's all we need.
Sam: So why did you call me? Hunt: Because if this goes the way it looks like it's going, I want you to lead the investigation. Sam: You need my help? Hunt: Just be the picky pain in the arse you normally are, and I should be fine.
