So does anybody have any idea when or even if the DVD's are going to be in the American format? I've e-mailed BBCA a few times about it but they won't give any information.

Get them from Amazon.co.uk as long as your DVD player/TV can handle multi-region and NTSC. Many do.

How much would it be in US Dollars to get S1 and S2? How long does it take to get to the US?

I just bought the Blu-ray versions off Amazon UK and they DO work in US PS3s. I looked and it doesn't look like there is any region encoding on the Blu-rays.

Looks like the show is finally being released in the US on 28-Jul (series) then series 2 in 2010. The big question is going to be how butchered the soundtrack will be. Me thinks I'll stick with the sets from the UK.

Very new to this site, but was glad to see other fans of this show. As for the dvd's, I purchased both seasons recently, played them once and was going to list them on Ebay soon. But if someone here was interested in them, let me know. Keep in mind both are in PAL format.

I can confirm CrochetOwl's statement above. The American Street release date for Season One LOM(UK) is Tuesday, July 28th 2009. Prices will vary depending on the store. The street release date for LOM(US) is Tuesday, September 29th (at last report, when I placed the order for my store).

I just bit the bullet and bought a region free DVD player and ordered them from Amazon. I love lots of British TV and the player will play all regions so it works for me.
