  • I know I said I wouldn't write anymore reviews when I found out that ABC planned to cancel this show at the end of the season, but this episode was almost perfect.

I would have given it a 10 except for two things. Sam looked a little toasty in his navy p-coat that he wore most of the time when everyone else seemed comfortable in shirt sleeves (too much). Secondly, the director must have dozed off in the bed scene with colleen when Sam just kind of fell out of his "Irish accent" (helloooo!). On the positive, this episode had real cohesion. Once again, if ABC had just stayed with writers Postiglione & McMillan as a team, the show would have been successful. The storyline about trucker theft was pretty simple in itself, but the way the main theme of the show was weaved into the story was fantastic. The scene where he talks to himself as a kid along with a little mind-play was well done. Kudos to Postiglione & McMillan - you guys rock! What wrapped this episode up with a nice bow for me was the ending - Ray & Chris being shot - very unexpected and very Hill Street Bluesy. I'm so disappointed that ABC is canceling this show. For the first time in a long time, I could not wait for Wed. nights and the next episode. The basic theme/storyline is great and the cast that was assembled was truly awesome. Gonna miss it!
