Who should Cate be with?

Idk if she should be with Ryan or Baze yet. Right now I feel like Ryan is truely in love with her, but usually on shows like this people tend to route for the "mom" & "dad" to be together.

Hmmm...it's hard for me to choose given that I really like Ryan because he's played by Kerr Smith, but she just can't stay with him forever that would be too easy.

Right now I don't think they've developed Ryan's character enough to really make him a contender in the eyes of the audience. I'm not saying that's a bad things, though, because the show is still young, but if they want to create a strong love triangle (which consists of very opinionated fans of either pairing), then they'll probably need to show more of Ryan and his relationship with Cate.

As of now I think she'll end up with Baze, but I also hope that's a long, long way off. Shows that get the main characters together too early don't really intrigue me as much as this one does at the moment.

I love both of them. I think they should all stay together & become a little family. What is that religion where the men get to have more than one wife? Why not a couple of husbands? LOL

I think it is a bit early to tell. Obviously the spark between Cate and Baze is still burning and Lux does nothing but ignite it more and push them closer. However Ryan sounds like the right guy for her, he loves, supports and understands her. Sounds like he's been very patient and managed to find a crack in Cate's armour and make himself room in her life.

The triangle is very well set so I'm looking forward to seeing it develop.

Life Unexpected is going to end like The Parent Trap film & It's Takes Two film. Lux will come to choose down of the two, Baze or Ryan start a family with Her and Cate. As of right now, she is only likeing Baze fully at moment of the way as a Family, not to much of Cate & Ryan or Cate herself as well. Well, after seeing the previews of next weeks episode, seeing Ryan punching Baze in the face. I think Lux will actually come to taking time getting use to of Ryan & Cate and even Cate herself as well.
If Ryan becomes Lux's Step-Father being the one with Cate? It's fall happen from the right beginning!
If Baze becomes Cate's husband being the one with Cate? It's fall happen from the right It's fall happen from the right beginning! Cate actually giving them both a 2nd chance, over that teenage feelings she has for him.
But, it's actually up to Lux choose. Who will be her real family? Cate & Ryan and Her or Baze & Cate and Her the Bloodline Family.
Well, This is called Life Unexpected. So, anything can happen at any time. So, maybe Cate's life will come to a surprise with Baze, she never in earth expected to happen to be with him. And Also, it will make not just only Lux having the matching title name of the show at all. It will appear Baze & Cate shares the title name as well.
Lux is "Life" the 1st half of the title name

That is quite a interesting theory. Baze's girlfriend is nowhere to be seen ever since the pilot.

I hope Cate and Baze end up together, they are so much better together than Cate and Ryan. Plus Lux deserves to have the two of them back together, so she can have a real family, instead of a broken one.

I also agree that it is too early to tell. However, I don't rule out a relationship between Baze, Ryan, or both because that's what keeps it interesting. We'll see if Cate explores her options and develops something with Baze and then if Ryan will forgive her for her actions.

I don't dislike the idea of Cate and Baze but wouldn't it be a bit too predictable? I think the writers could find a clever and sensible way to surprise the audience with something less obvious and still left a sweet taste in our mouths. Though to be honest, I can't think of one yet.

Ryan doesn't hold a lot of relevance to the story if he's not with Cate, although I love how the writers have taken strides to develop his character in the past few episodes. If they want him to be a permanent character, however, they're going to have to involve him in other storylines somehow, too. I look forward to seeing how they accomplish it!

I like the relationship with Cate and Ryan better. I like their chemistry. Cate and Baze had their thing in high school, just because they had a kid together it doesn't mean something needs to magically form after all those years. Plus there would be no reason to have Ryan if he weren't with Cate in some way and I really like him as an actor and on the show. He's a good influence for Lux.

Ok so seeing this last episode, I think that they will for sure do something between Baze and Cate, however it might not last for as long as Ryan and Cate would.
