When news came in that LU was renewed, I didn't feel an instant joy.
I'm glad though that the show is coming back because I think it has potential, in spite of its many flaws.
First, the cast deserved to be back. They are all very good (Shiri Appleby is particularly stunning). Then, the plot is interesting. Of course, it reminds almost everyone of Gilmore Girls but it's still nice to watch. That's where I find the flaws though. Not everyone is as talented as the Palladinos. The writers still need to strenghten their work. The characters are not as smart and witty either. The other thing is that it looks like everything is too easy. Lux has not been in touch with her birth parents for 16 years but she seems to dismiss her anger very quickly.
Some characters are too cliché (Bug) and last but not least, what started as a show about the relationship between a teenager and her parents finally turned into another love triangle.
Nothing that can't be fixed. That's why I'll be there for the series 2 premiere!
