    Where is my ZEN??!!

Season 1 of Life was so stupendous for 3 reasons: Zen, bizarre crime scenes and the intriguing Charlie plotline. This episode falls on its face on all accounts.

Despite non-acting Danni Reese not being on the job, she still wastes airtime over the phone. And who could care less about her time in the FBI? Of course it is part of the larger plotline, but they are dragging their lead-boot feet on this one. However, I did love the replacement. More robot jokes would go down a treat.

The crime itself really was not quirky or interesting. So what if women write to a convict? How is that remotely engaging? Boring boring boring.

And where oh where is the Zen that sets this show apart from the rest????!!!! Come on writers take back the writing room from the kindergarten class and earn your money.moreless

  • Another great episode of life.

Life is a consistently good show with well written material expertly played by all the cast. This was another great example with an intriguing plot where a girl's murder is linked to 2 men who pulled a jewellery robbery, a religious letter writer and a contemporary playwright. The twists and turns of the plot kept me guessing all the way through and there were the usual great funny lines from Charlie Crews. Captain Kevin tidwell was also very entertaining. Dani reese wasn't in it much as she's still helping the FBI out with their enquiries into the Mickey Rayborn murder. Can't wait for the next episode.moreless
