When Crews was refilling the cartridge with black powder he scooped some uncertain amount of the powder and then pressed it in. The amount of the powder in the cartridge should be very precise otherwise the bullet might not fly far enough or it might even explode in the chamber.
K2 is the second highest peak in the Himalayas, next to Mount Everest. It has an elevation of 28,251 ft. (8,611 meters). It is also known as the Savage Mountain because of the extreme difficulty climbers have when ascending the mountain.
