  • One of the first acting jobs of Calista Flockhart...

I was very curious about this episode after noticing the year it was done and that Calista Flockhart was in it. It was very interesting to see her early in her career. Calista protrayed the character of Mary-Margaret wonderfully and it was odd to watch her after all the years of reading about her weight in all the tabloids.

This could have ended up all sappy, but it was actually a good show about just what being bulimic is like for the bulimic and those around them. The fact that the character actually kept her vomit in the closet and then threw it away with the trash without anyone in her family knowing was astonishing to me. It also showed just how peer pressure can affect someone even after high school. It was pretty obvious that the main character would discover her friend's dead body (she died from anorexia) and then confront her own eating disorder, but it was still intriguing enough to keep my attention.

    Final Grade: B+
