I really like the show but it has a somewhat depressing bent to it,or is that just me?

Hey - Glad you guys are liking the series! I hear ratings are still down though; we may want to get a petition started.

The MMA fighter in the 4th episode I think is Bas Rutten, a very successful retired MMA fighter. No way Lights could win that fight.

Hey Yaspaa - glad you mentioned that fight. It looked like the blow that ended the fight was to the other guys windpipe. Is that allowed, usually?

i think it is a good series. i like the actor alot. i am not a big fight fan...my dad was golden gloves back in the day and he was a huge fan ofcouse, but it did not get in my blood. it has the makings for a great drama...much conflict at every turn.

Sorry for the late reply, and no it's not allowed. Underground MMA may be different though.

The season will be ending soon - anyone heard anything about renewal or cancellation?

Great Show. Who is the actor who plays the new Trainer "Ed Romeo?" I've seen him before

in some other shows and movies. I thought it might be Eamonn Walker who played Kareem

Said in "OZ", but Lights Out isn't listed in his IMDB profile. I can't seem to find the info on

any of the Lights Out sites I have visited.

Great show. Simple story but very good and engaging characters. I get the "depressing" comment from the first few episodes because they are basically showing a guy down on his luck... who although outwardrly you would not see the signs yet, is about to hit rock bottom. And then if turns into his quest to get back in the ring and his best chance at setting his life right. It's great for story... but this is a show with a clear ending down the line... not the type you can milk season after season.

Unless... Lights gets hurt and his fighting days are done but they go with... commenting gigs... or they introduce a new protegé... and the show becomes about that... (or that hotel project?)

    SPOILER ALERT

I get mad watching "Infight" episode, i think previous episode was the very best so far, and i ask myself, why introduce a new extraordinary caracter like Romeo just to get rid of him the next episode?, oh god i hate Jhony so much, why they dont get him into a car accident and f***ing kill him?

Bare in mind that, now that Lights got stabbed in that scuffle between Ed and Johnny, Johnny might see how destructive he's been...
Maybe Johnny is gonna have an epiphany ...
Then again Romeo was not in the previews for next week's show "Cut Men" so...

You're right - He was Said in Oz - hope (if there is a next Season) they bring him back.

In case you haven't heard, FX has cancelled Lights Out. It just couldn't find enough people to watch it.
