this was a good episode not one of the best (I thought last weeks was)

this epi focus mainly on may giving birth to a boy (iris called him Malachi when she got him christened) dadda moss had to help out with the delivery as the baby got stuck and may would not bond with him and first had thoughts of throwing him in the river but could not go through with it as frank stopped her then may decided to give her child to the Brazendale’s but when Mr Brazendale came home and May’s family told her that she was not alone and they were staying around ( iris was going to join a convent but they wanted 300 guineas and silver candlesticks and ruby was going to go to Russia with the butcher) and they would help out may opted to keep the baby.

Father melia was sent to Ireland as he had feelings for iris but came to see her one last time before he went

Mrs Brazendale could not cope with this and slashed her wrists for as many times as she had lost her children.

at the end Dadda moss came back home and promised to stay sober and even registered the baby’s birthmoreless
