Although series creator/executive producer Linda Bloodworth-Thomason isn't credited with writing this episode, she probably did some rewriting. Her gift for clever dialogue is prevelant in the scenes between guest-stars Annie Potts and Jean Smart and foreshadow their collaboration in Bloodworth-Thomason's next series, "Designing Women," which premiered a year later.
