  • This episode was simply GREAT!!!!!

This episode had me on the edge of my seat. The raw emotion, I was upset when they were upset, I cried when they cried, I was screaming when Lizzie was able to get out of the window a little, I wanted her to escape so bad!!! I knew Bishop was invovled, even though he lies really, really well. When the neighborhood watch people came by to offer support and drop off the money they collected from the church, I had to reach for the tissue again. I'm excited this show has been given the green light for a second season, because this show is simply riveting, well cast, well acted, and very well written. I can't wait to see how the show will finish off the season.moreless
  • This episode was really great!

I started to watch Lincoln Heights with a little bit of skepticism, I didnt think ABC Family could support such a complex storyline, but I admit I was very wrong. This episode is a great example of the formula the writers have made. I was on the edge of my seat for this episode and It had me guessing what might happen next. I hope next week's episode is as good as this one, but from what I saw in the preview, I hope it doesnt turn out to be, "Who's gonna get shot this week?" While this episode does branch a little bit too far, it stayed real. 9.2moreless

    • Lizzie: Did you grow up around here?
Boa: Yeah, two blocks over on Wyoming.
      Lizzie: You go to Powell?
      Boa: Yeah.
Lizzie: You'd you have for English?
      Boa: Ms Lawheed.
Lizzie: (scoffs) She's mean. She once failed me on a spelling test because I used pencil instead of pen.
      Boa: (laughs) Man, that's cold.

    • Eddie: (to Boa) I didn't want to kill Donelle. I didn't want Magnum to die, but I will kill you if you don't tell me where my daughter is.

    • Eddie: (of Delilah) That woman's my partne–
Jenn: And I am your wife; Lizzie's mother. Don't put me on a need-to-know basis, alright? I want all the information, and I want it first. (holds up hand) You see this? Wedding band trumps uniform!
Eddie: I got one of those too, Jenn, and it doesn't mean I can walk into your O.R. and perform brain surgery!

    • Vera: (to Eddie) Your wife elbowed me half to death. I don't know how you sleep with her.

    • Vera: (of Lizzie's ransom) What about the department? Don't they have funds for stuff like this?
Eddie: The department won't help out. It's against policy to lend money for ransom.
Jenn: But not against policy to get us to move here.

    • Lizzie: What are going to do to me?
      Magnum: Nothing if you co-operate.
      Lizzie: Co-operate how?
Magnum: Do what we say, and don't make trouble.
Boa: We going to sell you back to your family.

    • Lizzie: Um, can I have something to drink, my throat's all dry?
Magnum: (to Boa) Get her something to drink.
Boa: You got a beer or something?
Magnum: What's the matter with you? Get her a soda.
Lizzie: Do you have root beer?
Magnum: Shut up! This ain't no 7-11.

    • Lizzie: Why is everyone picking on me today?
Eddie: You know, you meet one jackass, it happens. You meet two, you could be having a bad day. You meet three, you better check yourself.
