  • Excellent show. Gang violence, proper influence on young boys.

This week how black are you really, gangs, gang violence, and family topics of discussion this week. There is a neighborhood shooting that results in a little girl being shot and hospitalized. Turns out a rival gang is responsible, and now the gang member of the injured sister is seeking revenge. Tay is accused of not being “black enough” because of the types of games he likes. Eddie reunites with his adopted family, but that reunion also brings up memories of his mother’s death, which has yet to be solved. When it’s discovered the shooting was a gang initiation tempers really flair, and Eddie and his partner hope to find the shooter who has been identified as Marquese first. Tay finds out that Marquese is hanging out at Jerome’s house, and struggles to figure out if he should tell his father. He does, and now Eddie has to confront the adopted family that raised him. I was so excited to see Michael Warren playing young Eddie’s father. I think Warren is so handsome. Marquese shows up at the Sutton’s and Jen lets him in the house only to be robbed. Tay talks back to his mother after seeing Jerome do it, and Jen has to ground Tay. She feels that Jerome is a bad influence on her son, and while returning some nonchucks to Jerome’s mothers home, has some words with the mother who actually had a crush on Eddie. I was waiting for a girlfight!!! I know I’m wrong. Tee hee

I remember the guy that played the character of Ricky used to play Theo’s friend on the Cosby show. I kept staring at him wondering why he looked so familiar. This was a great show, and it was so sad when Eddie had to arrest Ricky. I guess Ricky thought he could get away with the dirt he was doing, and that Eddie would turn a blind eye. Guess again Ricky, guess again!!!moreless
