Monty Joins The Class: The episode begins with Miss Murray reading The Three Little Pigs to the students. Little Bill sits in the front with his friends: Andrew, Kiku, and Fuchsia. After the story, the children are glad that the story ended happily ever after. Miss Murray tells the children that it is time for them to go home. She tells them that tomorrow they are going to have a new student join the class. All of the children want to know who the student is. Little Bill knows who it is and asks Miss Murray if he can tell the class. Miss Murray says that since he is a friend of Little Bill's he can tell the class. Little Bill tells everyone that his friend, Monty, is joining their class tomorrow. He tells them that Monty used to go to a school that was far away from here. He says now he moved closer so he is going to go to their school. Miss Murray has a picture of Little Bill and Monty and Little Bill shows it to the other children. Kiku notes that Monty is in a wheelchair. Andrew asks why Monty is in a wheelchair. Miss Murray informs the students that Monty was born with cerebral palsy so he isn't able to walk. Little Bill says that Monty is able to crawl and roll in his wheelchair really fast. Andrew wants to ride in the wheelchair, but Miss Murray says that Monty's chair is only for him because he needs it to get around. Fuchsia notes that there is a woman that comes into her father's store that uses a wheelchair. Kiku asks if Monty is old. Little Bill says no and tells her that Monty is the five like the rest of them. Miss Murray says that she is going to meet Monty tomorrow. The group sings the "Goodbye" song so they can go home. As night falls, Little Bill lies down in his bed. Alice the Great comes in to say goodnight to Little Bill. She informs him that since Monty and Emmaline live very close to them now she thinks that they are going to be able to walk Monty to school every morning. Little Bill is very excited about that. Little Bill says that he can't wait to show Monty everything about his school and for him to be part of the class. He says that he is going to help him a lot because he's his super helper. Little Bill imagines that he is Super Helper and he flies around in a cape and superhero outfit. He imagines that Monty doesn't know the way to school so Little Bill as Super Helper flies him there. Monty thanks him. Alice the Great snaps him out of his imagination and tells Little Bill to remember that Monty likes to do things for himself. Little Bill says that he's never been to his school before and he doesn't know anyone except him. He says he has to help him. Alice the Great tells him to make sure that Monty needs help first before he offers it. She tells Little Bill goodnight and they love each other. The next morning, Little Bill and Monty arrive at school. Emmaline and Alice the Great say goodbye to Little Bill and Monty. Alice the Great tells Little Bill to make Monty feel at home. Little Bill promises that he will. He says that he will because he is Monty's super helper. They both go into the classroom. Little Bill takes Monty into the classroom and shows him the cupboards that were made for everyone. He shows Monty the new one which is his. Monty thinks they look cool. Miss Murray gathers everyone for circle time and they sing the "Good Morning" song. Miss Murray says good morning again to everyone and introduces Monty to everyone. Monty says hello to everyone. Fuchsia, Kiku, and Andrew say hello to Monty. Kiku notices that Monty has a lot of cool dinosaur stickers on his wheelchair. Monty says he loves dinosaurs and points to one saying that it is his favorite. Little Bill interjects and says that Triceratops is Monty's favorite dinosaur. He shows his friends the pouch in the back of Monty's wheelchair that he uses to put stuff in. The kids think it's cool and ask if he has toys inside. Monty tries to say that he does, but Little Bill once again interrupts and says for him that Monty has a coloring book, crayons, and a few stuffed animals. Fuchsia asks Little Bill if Monty can talk. Little Bill says that Monty can talk. Kiku suggests that Little Bill let Monty talk. Little Bill says that he's only helping Monty. Monty tells Little Bill that he doesn't need his help and says he can talk for himself. Little Bill asks Monty if he wants to fish. Monty says he'll check it out. Little Bill takes Monty over to the fish tank. It's an empty fish tank that is filled with magnetic fish toys. Little Bill shows Monty that you put the metal fishing hook into the water and it will catch a fish. Little Bill shows him how to do it and catches a blue fish. Monty thinks that's really neat and says it's his turn. Little Bill gives it to him and Monty puts it in the fish tank. Little Bill thinks that Monty is having trouble so he puts his hand in the tank and puts a fish on the hook. Monty tells Little Bill to stop and says he can do it by himself. Little Bill notes that he got a red fish. Monty says that he didn't, and notes that it was Little Bill that stuck it on the hook. Little Bill says he was helping him. Monty tells Little Bill says that he did it for me. Monty rolls away from Little Bill. Monty gets down on the ground and starts to play with the dump truck. Little Bill tells Monty that he's playing with the dump truck and Monty insists that he knows that. Little Bill sits down and tells Monty he wants to show him something. He pulls a lever on the dump truck and says that it can move the scooper up and down. Monty asks Little Bill to let him do it by himself. Little Bill isn't listening and starts to show him some other things. Monty tells Little Bill that he doesn't want to play with him anymore because Little Bill doesn't let him do anything fun. Little Bill tells Monty that he is his super helper. Monty tells Little Bill that he doesn't need a super helper anymore and tells him to go away. Little Bill is confused and very upset. Later that night, Little Bill is getting ready for bed again, but is having trouble getting his night shirt on. Alice the Great comes over to help him, but Little Bill says he can do it. Alice the Great tries to tell him to put his arms through it first, but Little Bill insists again that he can do it. Alice the Great notes he's almost there. Little Bill says that he can do it and he finally does. He is very upset and tells Alice the Great that he isn't a baby. Alice the Great asks Little Bill what's wrong. Little Bill says he doesn't want to go to school with Monty anymore. Alice the Great asks why he wouldn't. Little Bill says that Monty isn't his friend anymore. Alice the Great asks what happened. Little Bill says that he was trying to help Monty, but then Monty told him that he didn't want to play with him anymore. Alice the Great asks Little Bill if Monty asked him for help. Little Bill admits that he didn't, but says that he was super helper. Alice the Great asks Little Bill how he felt when she was trying to help him put on his pajama top. Little Bill says that he felt like a baby. Alice the Great notes that Little Bill isn't a baby and Little Bill likes to do things on his own. Little Bill says that she's right. Alice the Great says that Monty feels the same way. She says that if Little Bill is doing everything for Monty then Monty feels like a baby. She says that if Monty wants a super helper he'll ask for him. Little Bill asks if he really will. Alice the Great says that he will and asks who will be there for him. Little Bill says that he will be. Alice the Great says that he's right. She kisses him goodnight and Little Bill goes to bed. The next morning, Little Bill sees Monty playing in the fish tank again. Little Bill tells Monty that he's sorry that he helped him so much yesterday. Monty says it's okay. He shows Little Bill a trick that he can do with the hook. He waves the hook back and forth and is able to catch many of the fish at one time. Little Bill asks how he did that. Monty asks if he wants him to show him. Little Bill says yes. Monty tells him to sway the hook back and forth slowly in the tank so that the fish will have time to latch on. Little Bill listens and is able to catch multiple fish at once. Little Bill thanks Monty. Fuchsia and Kiku come up to Little Bill and Monty and ask if they want to play Helicopters. Monty whispers to Little Bill that they should be dinosaurs. Little Bill is convinced that his father will bring something really cool. Later that evening, Little Bill waits for Big Bill to come home for work. Little Bill greets him and tells him that he can't wait for him to come to school tomorrow. Big Bill says that he can't wait to come either because he has a big surprise for everyone. Little Bill knew it and asks if he's bringing a house. Big Bill says no and adds that's a little heavy. Little Bill asks if it's the copy machine. Big Bill says no. Little Bill asks what it is. Big Bill says that he is going to tell a story and tells Little Bill to come with him. Downstairs, Big Bill tries to find his old broom. He finally finds it and hands Little Bill some of the straw that is on the broom. Little Bill is confused and asks if he's really bringing straw. Big Bill says yes. Little Bill asks if that's all. Big Bill says there's more than that. Big Bill and Little Bill go outside and they walk under the tree. Big Bill picks up twigs and sticks off of the ground and notes that these are the good kind. Big Bill says they're done outside. Little Bill asks if he's only bringing straw and twigs. Big Bill says no and tells him that there is something else in his briefcase. He takes Little Bill inside and opens his briefcase. Inside are a few bricks. Little Bill is starting to really get confused and asks if he's only bringing straws, twigs, and bricks. Big Bill says yes and that will help him tell the story. Little Bill tells Big Bill that Kiku's father brought a fire truck in. Big Bill tells Little Bill that Kiku's father drives a fire truck because he's a fireman and says he doesn't drive a fire truck in his office. Little Bill laughs and says he hasn't seen him drive a fire truck through his building. Big Bill says that he is trying to make what he does for a living fun for his class. Little Bill asks what's fun about straw, twigs, and bricks. Big Bill assures him that what he has for the class will be fun. Little Bill asks how many of them live in a safe home. Everyone in the class seems to agree that they live in a safe home. Big Bill notes that means that his department is doing a good job and asks Little Bill if he's right. Little Bill says yes. Big Bill tells them all that one time he was trying to help pigs build a house. The kids start to laugh and say that pigs don't live in houses. Big Bill says that he's being serious and says that they were having major housing problems. Kiku says that pigs don't live in houses. Big Bill says that he knows three that do. He asks the children if they want to help him tell the story of The Three Little Pigs and the House Department. Big Bill gets Dorado, Kiku, and Monty to their respective houses. Dorado plays the pig that was in the house of straw. Big Bill tells Dorado that he doesn't think that a house made of straw is the safest one to live in. Dorado tells him that he likes his house and doesn't want to change it. Big Bill warns him that there is a big, bad wolf in the forest and tells him to be careful. After Big Bill leaves, Little Bill comes in as the wolf. He tells Dorado to let him in and Dorado and the rest of the kids say that not by the hair on their chinny chin chins. He is able to blow the house full of twigs down. Kiku and Dorado run to Monty's house. Big Bill walks up to Monty's brick house and notes that out of all of the little pigs' houses this one is the safest because it's made of brick. He thanks Monty for taking his instructions. Monty admits that he likes the house. Big Bill says he does too and a wolf isn't going to blow the house down. Little Bill tries to blow the brick house down, but he is unable to. Big Bill says that the house is safe for all of the pigs and he puts a sticker on it from the Department of Housing. All of the children state that they like stickers and ask for one. Big Bill gives them all a sticker. Miss Murray says that it's time for the picture. Little Bill tells Big Bill that he did a good job. Big Bill told him that he wouldn't let him down. Little Bill says that the pigs told the Super Helper that they were alright and didn't need his help right now because their house is safe. He notes they all ate juice pops instead. Big Bill calls into the room and asks Little Bill who he's talking to. Little Bill giggles and the episode ends with him lying down to go to bed.
