Computer says "noooooooo," but HBO says "yes" to an Americanized Little Britain.
Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the writers and stars of the British sketch comedy show, have signed a deal to bring their offbeat humor to the pay cable network, says Reuters. The duo will create six episodes of a US-based version of Little Britain, due to air in 2008. Producer extraordinaire Simon Fuller (American Idol, The Spice Girls) will produce.
"We're very keen to take Little Britain to as wide an audience as possible, so we're looking forward to working in the States," said Walliams. "We have grown up with huge respect for American comedy, so going to work there with HBO, which is the home of some great talent, will be a great experience for both of us."
