Lots of people I speak to say they hate Anne, because of her annoying noise. I don't understand that? I think she is one of the best characters in the show! Who here hates her, and who here, like me, adores her?

I absolutely love Anne and I hate that people say she's getting old, especially when you have Lou & Andy with 2 sketches per episode.

She is my absolute favourite character, and her 'eh eh eh' is just perfect. I know people who complain about Little Britain in general, but nobody ever about Anne.

I don't know how you can complain about Anne, she's doing so well to fit into the community again! Let's not discourage her!

Anne is fantastic. The way they’ve written her character so nobody… well, they notice, but there’s no reaction. Anyway, they way they’ve written her so that her ‘normality’ (for lack of a better term) is so obvious, and yet no-one seems to notice nor react to the fact that a relatively sane person is living in a mental institution, and behaves as though they are mentally disabled for a majority of the time. Except, you know, when answering phones… The visual aspects say more than words. Absolutely brilliant.

And GuidesAndThat, I absolutely agree with you. Lou and Andy aren’t repetitive! Every sketch has a new situation where Andy shows his fully functioning legs, and yet this manages to remain unnoticed by Lou. Yes, the lines are almost the same every time, but only by Andy, whose character comes very much from his dialogue. Have you ever noticed that, although Andy only ever says a few words at a time, when Lou quotes something that Andy’s said it’s always very formal and fluent? There’s use of a huge vocabulary, and he uses language and sentence structure that shouldn’t be used by someone of Andy’s apparent mental capacity.

I’m sorry for the long rant, but I’m sick of people bad mouthing Lou and Andy’s repetitiveness! They have to use the same characters, with the same look and personality, while still continuing on from the last scenario. I’d like to see YOU try to write a sketch that brilliantly…

And, seeing as this thread is about Anne, I love her. Especially the scene in Season 2 where she’s feeding the ducks! Ahahahahaha! =D
