Joe Kagan is a God-fearing man and he wishes to attend Sunday services with the rest of the Walnut Grove community but Harriet Oleson and others disapprove wholeheartedly of the idea. Eventually, it gets down to a vote and Mr. Kagan is accepted into the congregation.
Meanwhile, in Winoka, Mary and Adam hear the awful news that the school building is to be sold, leaving nowhere for the blind students to go. Reverend Alden comes to the rescue when he offers Lars Hansen's former home, a massive structure, as a suitable site. Needless to say, everyone is delighted and the Ingalls family are thrilled that Mary will be returning to Walnut Grove, even though the sheer number of people means that many will have to make the journey on foot.
Terrific episode and great work from Katherine MacGregor in her usual faultless portrayal of Harriet Oleson.
