Most Favorites: My very favorite is Charles Ingalls. He's the perfect man. But really he was a good husband, father, and all around great guy. He was honest, fair, strong, and did anything for his family. Plus he was funny. Close second places are: Caroline, Laura, Mary, Nels Oleson, and Mr. Edwards.

Least Favorite: My least favorite is Albert. One reason is because he wasn't in the books. But also, as other people have stated, he caused a lot of trouble. He really wasn't that interesting to me. And I just got so tired of Alebert, Albert, Albert!

Favorie character: Hester-Sue. She really had a good heart.

Least favorite: Mrs. Oleson, but only after season 5. Her character became too one-dimensional, and she seemed to exist only as the Ingalls' adversary.

Favorite: Nels Oleson. He was the perfect foil for his wife.

Least favorite: Nancy. I couldn't stand all the lying and selfish behavior. Much worse than Nellie.

Favorite: I have so many that I go through stages. Right now it's Almanzo. He's cute and funny and, as I have said before, looks great in beige.

Least favorite: I hated Jenny and Nancy equally, which was a lot, but Montague (sp?) takes the cake. What were they thinking?!

She just annoyed me and i truly disdained it when they changed actresses for that episode when Mr. Edwards left them fr good. It would have been nice to have the whole family come back (even if it was only Grace, Carl and Alicia)

FYI, the reason Bonnie Bartlett didn't come back to play Grace in that ep was because she was already under contract on "St. Elsewhere" and couldn't do Grace, too. What confused me back when the ep you're talking about originally aired was that they used actress Corrine Camacho as the "replacement" Grace, when she had already appeared in a very memorable episode as someone else ("My Ellen"). It's not like they probably didn't have a hundred actresses they could have used.

    Favorite: Charles Ingalls

Least Favorite: Nancy Oleson because she was a Nellie clone and a psychopath.

As for Albert he was created so young boys to have a character to identify with. As for deaths the fire was an accident. Every young boy tried smoking. Sylvia died from running away from her rapist. Given the time period Albert was a mixture of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn a troublemaker.
