Nellie: (singing) "Little Willie in a bright new sash, fell in the fire and was burned to an ash!"
Nellie: (singing) "Little Willie gave a shout, and gouged the baby's eyeballs out. And stomped on them until they popped, and Mother said, "Oh, William, stop!"
Laura: The worst part about being sick is the pain it causes other people. Mr. Edwards: That's just because they love you, Half Pint. It's just because they love you.
Editing Goof: When Charles goes to retrieve Doc Baker and attempts (for the second time) to get into the makeshift hospital, he's forced by the men chasing him to jump from a second story balcony. The scene was filmed from ground level, and when Charles hits the "ground" you can briefly see the corners of the inflatable yellow "stuntman's pliiow" pop up at both bottom corners of the shot. You can also hear the unmistakable "pfffhhtt" sound of air being forced out. It's brief, but it's there, and it's comically ametureish.
You may recognize actor Richard Farnsworth in this episode, who plays one of the men who beats Charles up. Farnsworth played a very different character in the memorable "Anne of Green Gables" film, where he portrayed the kind and gentle Matthew Cuthbert.
We hear again in this episode (also in Ep 4 "Mr Edwards Homecoming") that Mr. Edwards had a wife and daughter.
