      • This episode was shot probably around the late summer of 1933.

      • Laurel and Hardy make a cameo at the beginning of this short, posing as children. We hear their theme tune, "Ku-Ku," on the soundtrack.

      • Among the Leroy Shield tunes heard in this episode are "Good Old Days," "It Is To Laugh," "Beautiful Lady," "Candy Candy," "Little Dancing Girl," "The Moon And You," "Dear, With Me," "Riding Along," "Yasmini," "Let's Go," "Teeter-Totter" and "You Are The One I Love."

      • After this short was completed, Spanky was loaned out for work on a feature film called "Miss Fane's Baby Is Stolen." He contracted whooping cough, but his parents allowed him to keep working. As a result, the Board of Education suspended his license, and he wasn't allowed to work in films for ninety days. This is why there is a large gap between the second and third films of this twelfth season of gang shorts, and why there were ultimately only six episodes released during the season. When the series came back, it had a new director and several new cast members. This was the only such gap in the entire twenty-two year history of the series.

      • For the time being, this was the last Our Gang film directed by Robert "Uncle Bob" McGowan. He would return a couple of years later to direct one last time, however.

      • This was the second and final episode to feature Emerson Treacy and Gay Seabrook as Spanky's parents.
