Live Desk

Show Summary

The Live Desk was a talk and news program that debuted on Fox News Channel in 2006. The hosts of the show were Martha MacCallum and Trace Gallagher. The show focused on highlighting the main news stories of the day. Breaking news was also featured on the program. Material for the show usually consisted of pre-taped videos and footage of live correspondents. The show ran for sixty minutes and that time was split between footage in the network control room and footage on Studio D. The second part of the show featured a panel called the A-list that included a special guest daily. This guest was referred to as the Wildcard. Past Wildcard guests include Page Hopkins, who is a noted journalist, and Jamie Colby, who is a correspondent for the Fox News Channel. In 2009 the show was switched to an HD format, which prompted the producers of the show to change the music and graphics of the show. The Live Desk was canceled as of January 29, 2010.moreless
