Rad Dude!!! With a feel of "Point Break" meets "Miami Ink" and "Real World," "Living Lahaina" takes viewers on a schizophrenic tour of life with some of Hawaii's wildest surf instructors. With a life style reminiscent more or "destructors," they roam Lahaina and the Pacific shores.
Scenery is idilic in this island paradise. Clothing appears nearly optional as young bodies of both sexes find there way into many a frame. Adding new meaning to the phrase "eye candy" and "T & A," the cameras scan the beaches that are the home turf of these surfer boys. Not since "Bay Watch" have so many bodies and bikinis made it into a sequence.
The ocean photography is excellent and offers the potential of a "Endless Summer." This alone can make the show a guilty pleasure for the viewer who longs for scenic far away shores and enjoys beautiful nature shots.
The story line is in its early stages, but from this first episode, some filling out and character development is in order.
If one has a half hour to waste, and longs for far away places with scenic shots of nature and anatomy, this many fill the bill.
