  • A Nanny Reunion!

    5.5

This ep was obviously exciting because Fran Drescher’s former “Nanny” costar Charles Shaughnessy guest starred as her ex, Ted. He shows up and is really nice to Josh, Allison, and Riley, which upsets Fran, who thinks he’s “evil.” In the end, she finds out that he’s here because the girl he cheated on her with has left him and he wants his old life back. Josh overhears Ted speaking of him as a “loser” because he knows works at a video store, and breaks off ties with his dad. Ted leaves in a huff. Overall, not a good episode, besides Charles Shaughnessy. Interestingly, Fran’s acting got much better whereas Ryan’s got more wooden. Also, the “poop in a hole” joke was lame…adult sitcoms should not do potty humor! Fran doing the British accent when she said “Breathe, breathe, do you like jazz?” was hilarious. And her falling off the bed just was perfectly done it was pretty funny. Josh’s like “Achmed is going down!” was also funny although I have no idea why. “Can we not talk about pleasing ourselves in this section?” was a joke I saw coming but it still made me laugh. The Fran-Drescher produced eps are better than the previous ones, and there’s hope yet. But most of the writing is unfunny, sometimes gross, and very predictable. They need to kick it up a few notches. Sorry for the short review I have to pack for my vacation to CA! Maybe I can go to Malibu and run into Fran Drescher! I will probably miss the next 2 weeks….Ill be flying home from CA next Friday and the following one I’m on a school trip in Montreal! So sorry about that..I’ll catch it if I can!
