Lizzie McGuire

Hilary Erhard Duff, born in Houston, Texas on 28 September 1987, is an American actress/singer. She rose to national stardom when she won the role of Lizzie in the Disney show Lizzie McGuirethat aired in 2001.

Since her days at Disney, Hilary has continued to star in various movie and tv roles.

CANDY BROWN began her professional career in musical theatre under the tutelage of legendary directors, choreographers and performers such as Michael Bennett, Ron Field, Bob Fosse, Alan Johnson, Hal Prince and Lester Wilson. Some of the shows in which Ms. Brown has been an original Broadway cast member include Pippin with Ben Vereen and John Rubenstein, Chicago with Gwen Verdon and Chita Rivera and Grind with Ben Vereen and Stubby Kay. She was also on the Broadway stage in Purlie with Cleavon Little and Sherman Hemsley, and in Hello Dolly with Pearl Bailey and Cab Calloway. She was part of the history making first workshop of A Chorus Line, was featured in the Emmy winning TV special Liza With a Z, and toured Europe and the United States as a featured dancer with Shirley Maclaine. Candy performed in the first national tour with Eleanor Parker in Applause, where she played "Candy" which had been the character "Bonnie" previously played by Bonnie Franklin.

After relocating to Los Angeles, Candy performed on the Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and the People's Choice award shows and the Redd Foxx Variety Show, all with award winning choreographers from whom she continued to gather a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Since coming to Los Angeles, Candy has become an accomplished actress on stage, television and film. To recap some of her highlights, she was "delightful" (according to Variety) as the "Lady In Yellow" in the West Coast premiere of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf. She was "Gladiola" in House of Flowers with the Denver Repertory Theatre Company, directed and choreographed by the legendary Donald McKayle. Candy starred as "Miss Pat" and other characters in George Wolff's The Colored Museum with the San Diego Repertory Company, as "Muriel" in JudyAnn Mason's Indigo Blues for the Penumbra Theatre Company in St. Paul, Minnesota and in various productions and readings around Los Angeles. Ms. Brown has recently returned from another stay with the Denver Repertory Theatre Company as "Miss Delores" in the World Premiere of Waiting To Be Invited hailed by audiences and critics alike.

Having studied acting with the extraordinary acting teacher Milton Katselas, Candy is also well represented in film and on television in episodes of "Sister Sister", "Roc", "Quantum Leap", "The Smart Guy" "Nash Bridges", "Ellen", "NYPD Blue", "Chicago Hope" "What's Lizzie Thinking?", and "Six Feet Under" to mention a few. Candy was a series regular on the short lived yet critically acclaimed "Men" as Ving Rhames' wife and in the films "Heartbeat" with Nick Nolte and the mother to N'Bushe Wright in "Zebrahead" among others. Primary among Candy's upcoming projects, is her role as Odessa Clay in the Mohammed Ali film biography, "Ali" starring Will Smith.

In the midst of all the performing, Candy manages to teach as well as direct and choreograph. She holds dance classes at two studios in Hollywood. She was movement consultant to Lucie Arnaz as Ms. Arnaz prepared for her Las Vegas opening, and to Mr. Robert Guillaume as he prepared for his performance in the "Phantom of the Opera." She has taught dance at Marla Gibbs Crossroads Conservatory for the Performing Arts, at Faith Acting Studios, private lessons and a commercial dance class at Loyola Marymount University. She has choreographed A Taste of Fosse also for Loyola's spring concert, The Wiz for Cal State Norhridge and Annie for the Teenage Drama Workshop in Northridge.
