engrossed in locked up

At first I was hesitant to give this series a try. People who are dumb enough to get involved in the transport of addictive life wrecking drugs get what ever they deserve but this show has completely captivated me. 1. I think this show should be shown in our school systems nation wide. Our country's kids need to know the difference between the spoiled, no accountability lifestyle in the US with the harsh death penalty for kilo in other countries. I think it would cure a lot of sick minds of the liberal disease. 2. It's an amazing testimony of faith and determination to survive and many of these people say their lives changed for the better as a result of these experiences. I've cried after watching many of these shows and watching these testimonies brings you to a kind of cross roads to re-evaluate yourself and the world around you. This is the best series on the air in my opinion and everyone would benefit from experiencing this series. I appreciate the realness. I appreciate that Christians are allowed to say the name of Jesus and I've seen a few other religions mentioned as well. The show doesn't attempt to make judgments but allows the viewer to do that for themselves. Thank you for this show. The one series out of Hollywood that is actually beneficial for mankind. I'm not kidding. Thank youmoreless

What Reality TV should be

This show is part drama, part documentary, and at times is funny, thrilling, and horrifying. Usually it is one or two people's first hand account played over very well done re-enactments. The production of the re-enactments is spot on - the locations look very authentic and the actors chosen are believable, but that would be nothing without the stories. Even though there are only a few themes that they all resemble, each one is it's own adventure. And the way the main character's accounts are played in just works. They even manage to throw in some interesting and pertinent information (written text narratives) so if you're not careful, you might learn something. And the best thing is how surprising some of the endings are. The only thing I'm worried about is how long they can keep up what I think is the best show on TV I have ever seen.

Some highlights of the show so far for me have been how funny the beginning of the Ecuador episode when Jake with the lightning shaped beard and the "word salad" come along barking down the street, the end of the Panama episode when he KEEPS GOING SOUTH, and the ending of the Puerto Vallarta episode.moreless
