  • The NSBA are in Metropolis undercover as people with influence -- football players, singers, and models. They have been plotting to create their "rife".

In the very beginning of this tragic episode of Lois & Clark, I was uncertain of its quality. Super Mann? I thought there could definately be a better title than that. The title seems to draw attention away. It did not sound anything surprising or interesting. As I watched the film, the episode became more interesting..especially the part about "just because you have a bigger salary, it don't make you a bigger man". It was very original. Skippy Wallace was quite odd character. I was surprised to see that the Daily Planet hired him. I thought perhaps he was the new Jimmy because the 1st & 2nd season had different people playing the role.

I didn't suspect Skippy, the person who was in Classified, was a part of the NSBA until later.moreless

    • Nitpick: When the awoken Germans first see Superman, one speaks German and still says "Superman". In German, he would have said "Ubermensch." Of course, if he were saying "Superman" as a name, rather than as a description, this would make sense, though it seems unlikely to have been the case. Edit
    • When Lois and Clark are in the apartment discussing the wedding plans, Lisa throws the bomb, Clark changes into Superman and they go down to investigate. After they return to the apartment they discuss how they could die at any moment and start kissing passionately, then Jimmy knocks on the door. As they get up open it, Clark approaches and you see him zipping up his pants. Edit
    • At the beginning of this episode, the same rescue scene is used with the same girl as it was in "The Neverending Battle" when she drops her bear, and goes back to get it, and the Daily Planet billboard falls but Superman holds it up with 1 hand. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • Sean Kanan, who plays Steve Law, the football player that Jimmy idolizes, was playing A.J. Quartermaine on General Hospital regularly at the same time. A.J. was the same role in which Justin Whalin (Jimmy) got his start in television. Edit
    • Superman was an important part of the original fight against the Nazis. Superman's creators were very active in the War Bonds effort and Superman appeared in short films at movie theaters all over the US appealing to people to support the War. Edit
    • When the Nazi guys are watching television to study current American culture, the show they are watching is Perfect Strangers. This is a nod to Bronson Pinchot who plays Balki on Perfect Strangers and the Prankster on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Edit

    • Clark: I was actually just thinking about invitations... Lois: ...Catering... Clark: ...the band... Lois: Ugh, we're so far behind. Clark: We haven't even set a date yet! Lois: I know, we're late with that, too. Edit
    • Lois: It's all in Russian. Clark: Here, lemme see. Lois: Is there any language you don't know? Clark: Well, sometimes I have trouble understanding you. Edit
    • Reporter: Steve! Steve, how about a few words for the camera? Steve: Uh yeah, sure. It was a heck of a game, and all I have to say to the 49s is you better look out because we are going to Clean Your Socks! Edit
