The picture of Lois Lane on the scoreboard in the sports section is at Oriole Park at Camden Yards which is located in Baltimore, Maryland.
Goof: Near the end of the episode, Superman uses laser vision to stop the lights on a car which cause paralysis, we do not see the red lines usually drawn in visual effects to illustrate he is using his laser vision.
This is the first time he has used his laser vision with there being no accompanying visual effect.
Jimmy: I think it's kinda cool the way he tied in the baseball theme. You know, the whole designated hitter... (Lois gives him an annoyed look) oh, I sure wish someone would yell out 'copyboy' right about now.
The Prankster (real name: Oswald Loomis, although in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman his name is Kyle Griffin) first appeared in Action Comics #51 in August 1942. The Prankster's particular gimmick was the use of various practical jokes and gags in committing his crimes. This, coupled with his cartoonish appearance, caused many to write him off as a "joke villain", until the early 2000s, when writers improved upon the character by giving him a more svelte appearance, as well as high tech weaponry that made him a more serious threat.
The character who Lois and Clark visit while investigating the pranks is named Randall Loomis. His last name is an allusion to the Prankster's real name in the comics: Oswald Loomis.
