It seems awfully convenient that Misha had a vial of truth serum ready to use on Dr Lane, when he didn't know there was any secret to get from him.
That duck must have been packing quite a bit of TNT, since Superman flew off and the fire from the explosion could still be seen through the back door of Lois and Clark's home.
Lois mentions that The Sound of Music is her favorite movie and that she was the most popular babysitter at her high school. Of course, this was all while The Toyman had a gun on her, and she was explaining why she qualified as a mother figure for the children!
In this episode, Martha and Jonathan are celebrating their 35th anniversary. Lois says that she and Clark are just thirty-four and a half years behind them. So, Lois and Clark have been married for about 6 months.
Goof: When Woody has just switched bodies with Clark and realises he's Superman, when he rips his shirt open to reveal the Superman suit in the alleyway when he's looking in the mirror, you can see a piece of double sided tape on his shirt where the buttons are!
When Woody Samms takes over Clarks body and after he realizes he is Superman, he goes into the phone booth and changes. When he comes out dusts off his boots, you can see his wedding ring. Superman never wears a wedding ring, but Woody doesn't realize that fact.
Goof: When Superman goes to revive Lois after freezing her, she tilts her head and opens her mouth all on her own even tho she is unconscious!
Goof: When Lex and Leslie see the world through Lois' eyes, she eats a pretzel, but it appears that she must have done so through her forehead, instead of her mouth, given the position of the bagel relative to her sightlines.
Goof: In the beginning, before the credits, as Lois and Clark are talking to Dr. Martinelli on speakerphone, as the camera pans out you can clearly see the phone isn't plugged in. The phone jack plug is empty.
During this episode you can see that Teri Hatcher has a cold sore on her upper right lip. This might be the only episode after the beginning of Season 3 where Lois and Clark do not actually kiss on the mouth to prevent Dean Cain from contracting the virus.
Goof: When Lois holds up the black nightie you can see a man in a green shirt reflected in the mirror behind her.
Casting Patrick Cassidy as a second generation villain is a homage to his father Jack Cassidy playing the archfoe Max Mencken in the 1966 Broadway musical It's A Bird, It's A Plane, It's Superman! -- a role Patrick himself played in a 2010 revival. Patrick Cassidy also went on to play Lana Lang's biological father on Smallville.
Goof: At the restaurant Lois goes under the table you can see Clark's legs, then they are gone, later thay are back again.
Nitpick: In the sequence when Lois is dreaming Clark, some of the scenes where he holds her in his arms as they fly are actually from when she turned the alternate Clark into Superman in the episode "Tempus Anyone?".
Nitpick: As she's giving Clark clues through playng charades while she's bound, Lois' finger can reach up to her mouth to indicate 'shhh,' but she can't use her hands to pull the tape off her mouth?!
In the episode "Ultrawoman", Clark insists that he wears briefs, but while playing strip poker we see that he also wears boxers on occasion.
Nitpick: Why did Superman use his potentially unstable heat vision to disable the low-frequency generator? Why not just use his strength to crush it, throw it into orbit, or similar? You can't throw and evil device TOO far away...
The bank robber comes out of the New Troy Bank. New Troy is the sub city of Metropolis where Lois and Clark live.
Nitpick: Jimmy says Eric Press is the "Michael Jordan of hacking" at the beginning of the episode. Later, Lois asks Jimmy to break into Press' computer and amazingly, Jimmy somehow manages it. One would think that an "elite" hacker like Press would have better security measures to keep his computer from being broken into, unless Jimmy is the "Magic Johnson" of hacking!
Nitpick: The number of years that John and Martha Kent have been married is extremely fluid throughout the series. When Martha tries to cheer up Lois after her first fight with Clark in this episode she says, "After forty years of marriage I can spot a fight coming." In "Toy Story" they visit Clark to celebrate their 35th Anniversary. And in "The Ides of Metropolis" Clark is upset about his mother possibly having an affair with a younger man, and he tells Lois that his parents have been married for almost 30 years!
