      • From ITN Source:-

"Glen Murphy, who plays George Green, admits that George has to make a lot of adjustments during this series:

'I think George has changed a lot. He was a young lad and a cliched boxer when he joined, but we tried to make him a bit more sensitive and he started to show his feelings. I didn't want to play George as a thug - I know lots of boxers who are very sensitive. I think stereotyping is boring and I just wanted to make sure that George wasn't a stereotypical boxer. He's got a wealth of experience and he's the man that you'd want by your side when you're fighting a fire. But he does have very old fashioned morals!'

The speed of his relationship forces George to review his neanderthal ways and he tries his best to become a 'new man':

'During this series, George realises that his feelings for Andie are very strong. But he still has a lot of issues to deal with. Andie is a very tough woman who certainly isn't content to stay at home and cook George's dinner, and that's something that he has to get used to. He even has a few attempts at cooking something up in the kitchen himself! Added to that, George still has to face the fact that life has moved on - his first marriage has failed and he's an absent father."
