New Powers?

    No one really knows, the announcement was pretty vague. The commercials just said "New Powers Unleashed". Some people came up with interesting ideas and guesses on the forum. Among them were:

    Tech: increased magnetic powers on par with Magneto

    Ace: shooting lasers from his hands

    Lexi: telekenisis and/or telepathy

    Care to hazard a guess? It's fun Only 2 more days!

    I hope it's not something like "the Loonatics get random new powers", but their old powers further developing instead. For example, Lexi's got that brain-blast ability, so who's to say that she doesn't have some other psychic powers she hasn't discovered yet, like telempathy, clairaudience, or something? The whole team has the potential to be pretty powerful (I mean, Tech's practically semi-immortal, for all intents and purposes).

    I'm not even sure he'll have powers. If he does, maybe he'll have a piercing shriek or something.

    Hm, the commercial really said that? Must of been one of the ones I missed...

    That would really be nice for their powers to develop. Lexi seems likly into getting some telekinisis or something...

    Hm, I think someone also wrote a fic on Tech's powers developing. Having EMP ablities. That would be cool.

    I think someone here mentioned they wanted to see Tech gain the ability to age slowly and be immune to illnesses like Wolverine. I'm not sure I want to see that happening as Tech is already too close to immortality as it is. He's already practically unkillable. Even Wolverine could die due to really extensive injuries like having the flesh burnt off his skeleton. Tech's molecules just reattach themselves like Cell. How do you top that?

    That was me who thought of that. I thought it would be a cool and perhaps disturbing discovery for him if he found out that he could never age past his present 20s or something, because his body's cells keep replenishing themselves aginst natural deterioration. It kinda makes sense if his molecular regeneration did that to him, i mean as you all have said, he's already close to immortal in that he can't be killed by any physical means. You could logically take that a step further and describe other potentials that a self-healing power could bestow upon its holder.

    Here's what I think.

    Ace:  Energy around his hands increasing his upper body strength, much like Iron Fist(from Marvel comics) or Shego(from "Kim Possible").

    Tech:  Electrokinisis(electricity and magnatism are related), Cyperkinisis.

    Slam:  A sonic roar, invisiblity.

    Danger:  Detachment(as a reference to the Looney Tunes' gag where Daffy's bill keeps being blasted off).

    I think if you wait till next week you'll have what you want. Today's episode is actually the 2nd episode of season 2 they just aired it as season 2 premiere. the actual "season premiere" episode is on next week.

    Very true. Like I was saying, I hope they further develop those mental powers of hers'. Also, I like the idea about Tech aging slowly due to his powers, but I'm not sure would I actually wanna see it on the show. It'd be good for a fan-fic though.

    Yeah, possibly. That's a good point, 3StarvingArtist. Anyway, I could definitely see Rev's speed being upped to around that of light itself (ala` the Flash) AND maybe him developing the powers of invisibility and intangibility (based on the classic comic book super-speed tricks of moving fast enough to turn invisible and vibrating through solid matter). As for the other Loonatics, no guesses, save that they would probably be logical extensions of the powers they already have (I just can't guess what they would be).
