  • Ace Bunny vs. General Deuce and Ophiuchus Sam

Although the first season wasn’t great, the series continues with new episodes onto the second season. Anyway, we all find out that Ace Bunny’s weapon is very powerful. It is called the “Guardian Strike Sword.” Ace also got to meet Ophiuchus Sam, the descendant of Yosemite Sam, along with General Deuce. The funniest parts in this episode involve Ophiuchus Sam, having trouble pronouncing his name, trying to bust out of the pokey, and his accent is similar to Yosemite Sam’s.

This episode is only the beginning. We will get to see more successors of the original Looney Tunes. I hope the show continues to bring in more characters based on the Looney Tunes such as Porky Pig, Speedy Gonzales, Marvin the Martian, etc.moreless
  • New characters, new plot points, and better writing than the earlier episodes. Season two shows the Loonatics picking up speed!

Apparently, the writers were listening in to the fans' pleas and this is the result. While many of the earlier episodes were a bit cliched and most of the villains just too annoying or lame to take seriously, "Secrets of the Guardian Strike Sword" proves that this show is fully capable of depth and originality. The Loonatics are slightly redesigned, losing the blue highlights on their uniform from the past episodes. Not too noticable a change. The background is also a bit lighter at certain times than the dark tones that overshadowed the entire city every minute.

The only really annoying change, is the opening, which the rest of the season will probably have. Some hip-hop rapping with rather painful music. But that is the only bug so far, and it is easily overlooked since it only lasts a minute.

Ace, the usually "too-good-to-be-true" leader of the pack shows some character flaws and finally commits a major screw up. Duck, though still comedy relief, is no longer the team's whipping boy and is not acting like a complete dolt with no idea what he's doing, showing some clever insight from time to time. This is also the first episode we see with a Looney Tunes based villain, which also added a much needed breath of humor that doesn't consist of Duck being blown up or Ace rehashing Bugs' old lines. Some of the watchers will probably figure out the twist in this episode, though others might be surprised. Thankfully, the whole mystery of Ace's sword didn't overshadow the rest of the episode, playing a fairly minor role until the end.

All in all, a very enjoyable episode which let Ace be his own character, rather than a weak semblance of his Looney Tune counterpart. If this is just a taste of what's to come, then season 2 should be quite a ride!moreless
