Losing It with Jillian

Show Summary

Losing it with Jillian is a reality weight-loss show on NBC hosted by Jillian Michaels, a personal trainer on NBC's other popular show, The Biggest Loser. An expert on good exercising practices, eating right, and staying healthy, Jillian Michaels has made it her goal to help Americans who are fighting obesity across the country. In each episode, she moves into a family's house for one week, with the goal of giving them good nutrition and working out practices for the rest of their lives. When she moves in to her new host's house, Jillian first observes their eating schedules and daily life. Then, she pushes them to buy healthier foods and starts training with them in a local gym. Jillian excels at pushing people to their physical and emotional limits, but she does so with a big heart and a desire to truly help them be their best. Jillian also works one-on-one with each member of the family to find out what is holding them back from reaching for their dreams. Her presence often leads to tension and conflict for the host family, but the eventual outcome is always worth the pain. After her one week is up, Jillian leaves the family, but she leaves them with the skills necessary to continue on their new healthy journey without her.
