  • Spiderfae spiderfar, does whatever a spiderfae does...

What could have been a disaster of an episode, this bottled up hour, limited to only a handful of the main sets, is actually all kinds of aracnidy fun. A less than convincing CG-spider aside, the character work on offer here once again reaffirms Lost Girl's strengths as a series, and that's its stellar character work, dialogue and acting. As Bo and Kenz grow closer, the series feels more focused and inviting; we also have the tenacious back and forth between Dyson and Lauren, providing the meat and bones of the episode (possibly the most convincing love-triangle on television). We're also introduced to Ash's new head of security, a bit of a, ahem, hot head, something tells me she'll be more trouble for Bo down the line.

Overall, this was an extremely watchable episode. It may have been more on the filler side of things, but when the results are this entertaining, it's hard to fault the show. Kenzi, once again, steals every single scene, Bo is still the most loveable ho on television, and what I dislike more than spiders is poorly rendered CG spiders. Yuck!moreless

ArachnoFaebia was a superb episode of Lost Girl and I really enjoyed watching this episode because it had a good story, character and plot development along with action, humor, and intrigue. Bo deals with both Lauren and Tyson as they both are attracted to her. Kenzi was fun to watch in action as she became a crazed killer after being bitten by an Ancient Fae Spider. It was interesting to learn a little more about the Fae world. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!moreless
  • If you wanted to creep me out...

    ...spiders will do it!

Make that spider a card carrying, demonically inspired fae spider, and well, if this wasn't intended to be all Hallowe'en-y as an episode you certainly fooled me!

Kenzi, Bo and Detective Hale get all psycho after being bitten by said spider, and almost destroy one another. Even the fae world has no mid range response to the problem, and sends in their cleaners to permanently remove the vermin. Funny thing, that the fae cleaners didn't know the bit about the heart...but whatever. It didn't detract that much...

Almost more creepy is Lauren. Something is afoot with the good doctor, and its abundantly clear after her encounter with Dyson at the end. He has her pegged if not figured out, and the only good thing I can see is if Dyson is no longer euphemistically "helping" Bo out, at least his strength will be preserved. He may need it to TRULY help Bo out with whatever the doctor and whichever fae she reports to, have in mind to stop or recruit Bo.

    The plot thickens...moreless
