Lost Girl "Lachlan's Gambit" Review: The Naga's Got Nada

The Garuda's big reveal was exciting to say the least, but between Dyson and Bo's miscommunicated entitlement to finish him off and an unnecessary character death, we're worried that this forward momentum will hit the brakes hard next week.

    EDIT

The Ash takes drastic action against the threat bearing down on him, which in turn convinces Bo to make a potentially life-threatening decision. When those close to her suffer devastating injuries, Bo can no longer ignore her destiny.

Like what I have expected, Lauren was devastated. Who wouldn't? I mean even if with the previous episodes, clearly Lauren has strong feelings for Bo (and vice versa) It's a fact that between the two (Bo and Nadia), Nadia definitely had a biggest part of Lauren despite the struggle Lauren has to experience with all the secrets she's been hiding.

A lot of characters had appeared (and reappeared) in preparation for the war against The Garuda. Ciara came back. Honestly, I don't even know what she was and what her powers were until this episode. Dyson too came back even if he was a douche for the previous episodes (after he discovered that he can't love anyone anymore)

Dyson was very certain that he was the chosen one to defeat The Garuda as what the wolf spirit told him. Bo still believes that she is the Champion but a part of her wants it to be someone else.

I have hated Lachlan ever since he became The Ash. I hated how he treated and used Lauren and did the same thing with Bo. Even if he already told Bo all his plans in defeating The Garuda, I still don't trust this guy until he sacrificed himself to The Garuda just to prove his point that Bo was indeed the Champion.

A lot of them were hurt and killed. Dyson was left in The Garuda's lair to fight Garuda's subordinates just to make sure Bo and the rest are safe. The mission was a failure but it didn't stop Bo and the rest of the team to bounce back and prepare in facing The Garuda again.

Lauren went to Bo. She was really confused. She is hurting but she wants to be with Bo which was quite confusing. She told Bo that since Nadia is dead, she was ready to leave, to run away and live the life she wants, no more fae to dictate her. There is no reason for her to stay anymore. Bo, on the other hand, wants Lauren to stay but she will support Lauren with whatever decision she will make "Whatever you decide, whatever happens, we are in this Is Bo really going to leave everyone just to be with Lauren? The unstable Lauren? The inconsistent Lauren? Yes, because she doesn't know anymore what her purpose in the Fae community. She was sure before when Nadia was still in a coma but now, I too don't know anymore.

I give this episode to Kenzi. We know that she's human and she contributes less compared to the other fae characters when it comes to her fighting skills but it took her courage to go back to Dyson and save him because she's smart, she's courageous and she has a big heart not just for Bo but to all of them. I really wish someday she would be fae.

Finally, after all that had happened, it's very clear that it was Bo who needs to defeat The Garuda because she was The Chosen One, not Dyson or anybody else. It took her some time to realize that but it's a good thing she did now.moreless

Lachlan's Gambit was a superb episode of Lost Girl and I really enjoyed watching because the story was engaging and had many revelations. Bo and the others are attacked by the minions of the Garuda and the Ash makes his own moves to save the day. I think the way every thing played out was done perfectly well. I enjoyed the magic, action and drama. I wish there would have been more magic and special effects but I was definitely satisfied. Dyson thinks he is the champion because the Wolf Spirit spoke to him and told him that he would defeat the Garuda. There are so many layers to this show and I love the depth of character and plot. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!!!!!moreless
