Lost Worlds

Narrator: All across America are traces of the arms race. A lost world of laboratories, reactors and testing ground built to produce the most destructive weapons in the history of mankind. This world existed to keep Americans safe, but it was hidden from their eyes. It was a product of the country's greatest minds, the most complex construction project the world has ever seen, and for forty years it was kept secret. Nearly 20 years after the end of the Cold War, our investigators are finally able to enter these sites, and explore the technology that built the Bomb. They'll stand in the heart of the first nuclear power plant ever constructed, they'll see how an entire city was built to make it happen, they'll see evidence of the awesome power unleashed by a nuclear explosion and they'll gain access to the place where the third World War could have begun.
