Episode Summary

A Tale of Survival
A recap of season 1 and 2 narrated by Michael Emerson.

Season One dealt with the fuselage survivors, the hatch and a failed attempt to get off the island.

Season Two continued these stories and also introduced viewers to Desmond - the man responsible for inputting the numbers into the hatch computer system -- the survivors of the tail section and Henry Gale, who turned out to be the leader of "The Others."

"Lost: A Tale of Survival" puts these two seasons together in a linear fashion to provide an illuminating view on a compelling story. See the sequence of events in the aftermath of the crash of flight 815, the failed raft attempt, the opening of the hatch, how the tail section and fuselage survivors lived separately and the unwitting intersections of their lives in one catastrophic moment, the implosion of the hatch and the capture of Jack, Kate and Sawyer by "The Others." Discover how and why some of the survivors lost their lives and the effects of their deaths on their fellow castaways. In addition, the island itself will be explored - culled from events that have taken place - which may reveal even more of its secrets.moreless

  • This one really let me down

OH DEAR! LOST is by far the world's best show and after watching the first two seasons which were amazing we get this crappie one! I normally like the recap shows heaps but this one was just plain silly! Nothing happened, nothing new took place, the other recaps added valuable information but this was just a waste of my time, Seriously! It was pointless..

I swear I'll be careful before watching the LOST recap shows again! Because honestly everyone, this was bottom of the barrel! Even 'Lost: The Journey' beat this one! TERRIBLE EPISODE! Here is my order for the recap shows: Best to worst...

1st: LOST: The Reckoning (Season 2). It was exciting and revealing, It also helped viewers to remember closely at the past episodes from 'Episode 9: What Kate did' to '19: SOS'.

2nd: Destination: LOST (Season 1). After the brilliant Season 1 finale, we're shown clips of the last few episodes of the first season. Exciting and memorable!

3rd: LOST: The Journey (Season 1). I don't know why but so many viewers hated this one, It was the very first Recap of LOST and showed the first few episodes in flashback-like things again. I liked It, pretty cool to be honest, I just don't get the big idea!

4th: LOST: Revelation (Season 2). yeah, It was OK, a little boring but still good.

And of course the worst was the one I'm currently Reviewing. The only thing I liked about this episode was the narrator Ben Linus, that was suspenseful but this recap just played the same old stuff again with no preview of Season 3, it's just more and more waiting. Overall, Nothing new and not much point really.moreless
  • That was the best thing I have ever witnessed on Television!

I think a lot of people will agree with me, when I say Lost is the greatest Drama/Adventure series of our time. This last episode of this season was evidence of this.

I was on the edge of my seat... Truly spectacular ending to the series. Revealed so much. I must say I expected a bigger fight between Locke and Jack... but I was still very satisfied.

That future flashback thing they did was excellent. I simply cannot WAIT for the next season...

Screw Heroes finale... I am sticking with Lost.moreless

  • QUOTES (3)

    • Narrator: It was a flight like any other, a plane full of strangers, bound from Sydney to Los Angeles. Among them, the doctor who lost his father … and lost his way. The girl next door, turned fugitive; the con man out for revenge, who killed the wrong man. The couple, whose marriage was slipping, the soldier, the rock star, the lottery winner, the single mother-to-be and, of course, the man whose faith was lost, and whose body had failed him…

    • Narrator: And so it goes. People lost in their journey … lost in their lives. But this island provides opportunity, some may rise, some may fall, and you wonder, who will lose faith, who'll survive - and who really are ...'the good guys'?

    • Narrator: Once upon a time, there was an island. Some said it was in the South Pacific. But you wouldn't find it on any map. Many people have been drawn to the island throughout time … lost in their travels, lost in their lives.
