Okay so heres the thing...I've been a fan of Lost ever since it came out. Just like many of you I waited for every episode, I bought the show when it came out on DVD and I discussed it on variousLost fan sites, only due to moving the country, I was not able to watch the sixth season with everyone else. Now I was told by many people that the ending did notanswermany of the questions that everyone wanted an answer for. So basically what I'm going to do is I'm going to wait for the sixth season to come out on DVD so I could watch it but I honestly can't wait to see whether everything gets answered and I don't want to read spoilers so all I'm asking is......Does Lost have a satisfiying ending with an explanation to all the weird stuff happening in the show or what ?

YES!! Honesstly, you do... unless you're one of those people thats hung on every little mystery, then perhaps not... but I believe the bigger picture, and the questions that really need to be answered, are.

    Definately watch it!!

    No, they didn't even bother.

It's not a matter of being hung up on every mystery, it's a matter of completely disregarding certain elements that made up a large part of the plot.

Many mysteries relevant to the plot were ignored.

I personally thought the ending was very satisfying and when you see how it ends you'll be like "Oh I see what they did there."

The ending is good. That's all you need to know.

If one defines good as equivalent to cop-out that masks completing character arcs and mysteries with a corny, cliche ending, then yes, it's quite good.

And I notice that your icon/avatar thingy is a picture of Spike. If you live Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, you'll probably (I don't want to generalize everyone) hate the end of Lost; it's way less satisfying than either of those series finales.

Not all the mysteries are resolves, throughout the season many are.The finale did not really focus on that which makes it a hit or miss.
I really liked it, tho not perfect, I thought it brilliant and provided closure. But that`s me, many will disagree, I get why but I just have another opinion. You really have to watch by yourself.

Thank you so much for your answers, although I'm still not sure since there are the same amounts of Nos as there are yes but I guess I just have to wait and see for myself. Oh and buildam 2005 yes I do love Buffy and Angel but Lost is a very different show than Buffy and Angel and I don't expect it's finale to be the same....

Again thanks for all the answers
