Among all this talk about how bad the end was , it was nice to see all the old cast members back. BUT!

Everyone was there EXCEPT Walt and his dad. Heck Walt's dog was even there. Did they pass on like they were supposed to?

They are not even mentioned in TV.com cast listing. Did they do something wrong to deserve omission?

And to comment on Walt living with his grandmother and his dad wanting to see him.........well...there were no survivors of the crash and if Walt and his dad did survive they shouldn't have been able to interact with Jack and the others. This is the only gaping hole in the series.

it was explained when Michael showed up to Hurley at the graves a few episodes earlier that he was stuck on the island after he died as part of the "whispers" because he couldn't 'move on' like all the others in the flash-sideways afterlife could. I don't remember seeing Vincent being in the church at the end. was he? I just remember him laying down beside Jack as he died.

But they really never got to know the other people; they had no affection to the 'main characters' that met up at the church so they probably moved on on their own. Maybe same goes with Eko.

Michael's whispering ghost was trapped on the island, so that's an easy explanation. As for the rest, I just assume they didn't have the same "link" with everyone who was in the church. For example, we saw Ana Lucia, but she was neither "awakened" nor ready to move on. We can assume that at some point, she'd probably be in that church, aware of her previous, true life, with a different group of people who she was more "linked" with.

Walt probably exists in sideways world, but wasn't awakened/ready to move on with the group we saw. Same for Richard/Lapidus.

i have no Idea. It was something they didn't want to pursue, so forget about it.

The people missing from the church were not ready. Ben said himself that he didn't want to go in because of that. Walt wouldn't have been ready because he wants to know what happened to his Dad.
