Goof: When Locke is approaching the faulty loudspeaker for the first time, he is on the same level as the speaker. In the next shot, Locke needs a chair to reach up to the speaker.
Goof: At the funeral, Helen is sitting at Locke's left during the entire service, but as he looks towards the man with the lawnmower, she is sitting at his right.
Right when he was interrupted by Sawyer, Hurley was about to bet 4 papayas. 4 is one of "The Numbers".
The alarm sounds 24 times before it gets louder (which means there's not much time left). 24--->2x4=8. 4 and 8 are two of "The Numbers".
When Henry falls down, the alarm starts. It sounds 4 times before the scene ends. 4 is one of "The Numbers".
Island events in this episode take place on November 21st 2004.
Although "blast doors" or steel panels slid down over the doors and windows (which I presume were just light panels since it is supposed to be underground), apparently there is nothing to prevent things from passing through the air vent. If the "blast doors" were designed to contain radiation or an explosion, it would seem they would have made a provision to prevent "it" (whatever "it" might be) from passing through the air vent between the protected area.
When Locke looks at the countdown just before the lockdown the time before reset is 47 minutes. This is another "numbers" input (8 plus 16 plus 23 equals 47).
Sawyer mentions he's been to Tallahassee, the capital of Florida. Kate was on her way there after committing her big crime in the flashback episode of "What Kate Did".
On the door of John Locke's Truck it says:
Professional Home Inspectors
John Locke, Owner
In John's flashback he visits a Motel, as he gets out of his car we clearly see an Oceanic Plane fly past in the background, we know this as the Oceanic Logo is on the tail of the plane.
A map/diagram of the island is revealed during the hatch lockdown. It is full of information regarding the experiments on the island including the other hatch locations, the reason for the experiments and the locations of other important island elements. There is also Latin that other websites have translated that lead us to more clues about what is going on on this island. There are things such as a zoological experiment, gene therapy and climate control discussed on the map. A fourth DHARMA Logo is indicated on the map/diagram Locke sees on the door: a flame. We have had no previous knowledge of this logo. The other logos that have been revealed are the Swan, the Arrow, and the Staff.
Henry Gale's drivers license has his address listed as 815 Walnut Ridge Rd., Wayzata, Minnesota. We can see the 8 and the 15, two of The Numbers here too.
In addition to the other posts about the numbers showing up in the episode, here are more places where the numbers show up. When Hurley and Sawyer are playing cards a shot of Sawyers cards are shown. If you add the 3, 4, and 8 of clubs up you get 15. If you add the 6 of diamonds and the jack of hearts up you get 16. That's assuming that in some card games the Jack is worth 10. Also, if you look at the license plate on Locke's fathers car, you can see the number 4 and the number 19, which add up to 23. Also, if you add the numbers in the zip code up on Henry Gale's license, you get 23 (5+5+3+9+1).
When Locke gets stuck under the blast door, he tells Henry to climb through the vent. So if the vent was open the whole time why did he try to pry the door open? For that matter, why did Locke try to slide under the barely propped-open door when he could go for the vents himself?
In the flashback where Locke gets the thousands of dollars for his father from the safe deposit box at the bank the safe deposit box number is 1516 which is two of The Numbers - 15 and 16.
The woman whose house Locke inspects in one of his flashback sequences is none other than the Sayid's love interest from his flashback, Nadia.
When Hurley, Sawyer, and Kate are playing cards it shows 5 cards. Two of those cards are a 4 and an 8. These are two of the numbers
Locke's father had an Oceanic Airlines flight bag when he left the Motel.
The Macaroni & Cheese Supper has the number DI-9FFTR731 with a swan logo.
Kate: I'm glad you beat Sawyer.
Jack: (They both smile happily) You know what? The hatch can wait until morning if you like me to walk you back to the beach.
Jack: I'm all in.
Sawyer: That's a move of a man who wants me to lay it down.
Jack: You're not gonna lay it down.
Sawyer: I'm not, huh? Why is that?
Jack: Because there is a bunch of people watching us right now and you don't want them to see you lose, again. (Cut to Kate, Hurley, and Libby who are watching from afar)
Helen: You lied to me!
John: I...no...please I can-
Helen: You lied to me! You looked me right in the eye and you lied to me!...you've made your choice John you need his love more than mine.
Libby: What's going on?
Hurley: Jack and Sawyer are finally going to beat each other up.
Sawyer: Fun time's over, Mongo. Why don't you go hit the buffet?
Hurley: But, I want to...
Kate: Come on, Hurley. (referring to Sawyer and Jack) Let's go leave these boys to their sandbox.
Sawyer: Think you're in my head, Doc?
Jack: You've still got three papayas - call or fold.
Sawyer: Well, you're in trouble now, Cool Hand. Pocket queens makes me the set.
Jack: (showing his cards) King's wired.
Hurley: Whoa, dude.
Jack: But at least I'm not in your head.
Henry: I'm going to need your word that you won't let your people do anything to me.
Locke: Well, if you're who you say you are, then what are you worried about?
Henry: Things have happened to them - things that I have nothing to do with. But they've got no one to blame except for me. So I'm going to need your word that you'll protect me, no matter what!
Kate: What about me? What do I got?
Jack: Hard to say, but you're just playing for the fun of it.
Kate: Well, fun's not bad. You should try it sometime.
Hurley: I bet four papayas.
Sawyer: You can't bet; I just bet. You can either call or raise or lay 'em down, Muttonchops.
Sawyer: Okay, I'll call you with the aspirin and raise you with a bottle of Amoxicilin.
Jack: Do you even know what Amoxicilin is?
Sawyer: You may have been to Phuket, Doc, but I've been to Tallahassee. (Jack looks confused) Let's just say something was burning and it wasn't from the sunshine.
Jack: How about you deal again?
Jack: This time from the top of the deck.
Sawyer: (smiling) Well, I had to try.
Sawyer: So, where'd you learn to play cards, Doc?
Sawyer: What the hell were you doing in Thailand? (Jack doesn't answer) What? You don't think I know where Phuket is? Just because I dropped out in ninth grade, don't make me an idiot.
Jack: Saywer, you're busted, I got it all, and it wouldn't be fair for you to go and pick more mangos.
Sawyer: Oh, I've got a hell a lot more than mangoes. You want to play for real stakes, name em?
Jack: (laughing) It's a pile of fruit, man.
Sawyer: And, I want it back.
Kate: Should I go and get a ruler?
Sawyer: Hey, Amarillo Slim, you think that because you watch poker on tv that you can tussle with the big boys?
Jack: I've got to head back to the hatch.
Sawyer: The hatch ain't going nowhere, Doc. How about you put your mangos where your mouth is?
Jack: I guess I could play a hand or two.
Libby: Doctor still in? (shows him a wound on her hand) I was grabbing for mussels in the tide pool and pissed off a sea urchin.
Jack: Well, it doesn't look infected. A little neosporin wouldn't hurt.
Libby: Yeah, right, neosporin. (motions towards Sawyer) I think the current rate of exchange is ten loads of laundry for a tube.
Helen: Where are you taking me?
Locke: I'm not telling, so just quit asking.
Helen: Can I be of any help?
Locke: Just read your obituaries and drink your coffee and I'll take care of everything.
Helen: Don't knock the obits, it's the nicest part of the paper. No one ever says anything mean about people once they're dead.
Locke: Mmm! And here I thought the funnies were the nicest part of the paper.
John: Maybe... Maybe if the two of us...
Henry: You want me to help you?
Henry: And if I do help you get these doors up, then you just gonna lock me back in here aren't you?
John: That's right.
Priest: (At Cooper's funeral) Do you wish to say anything, John?
John: I forgive you.
Jack: Hurley, have you seen Ana Lucia?
Hurley: She took off to the jungle with Charlie and Sayid yesterday.
Jack: Yesterday? They say anything about where they where going?
Hurley: Well, that would like, assume, that anyone actually tells me anything. Maybe if I were in the loop, I could be more helpful.
Jack: There is no loop, Hurley.
Locke: I met my real father, great news right? He pretended to love me just long enough to steal my kidney!
Henry: Couldn't you find my balloon?
Ana Lucia: Yeah, we found it.
Sayid: We did find your balloon, Henry Gale. Exactly how you described it. We also found the grave you described. Your wife's grave. The grave you said you dug with your own bare hands. It was all there, your whole story, your alibi. It was true. But still I did not believe it to be true.. so I dug up that grave. And found that there was not a woman inside. There was a man. (shows dead man's drivers license) A man named Henry Gale.
Cooper: I killed myself off because there are two men out there who were gonna beat me to it.
Locke: What'd you do, steal their livers?
(After Jack wins medical supplies in a hand of poker)
Sawyer: Hey, when I asked what you wanted for stakes, why didn't you say the guns?
Jack: When I need the guns, I'll get the guns.

Episode title: The title Lockdown implies "Locke" down, and refers to the lockdown that the hatch goes through.
A Locke-centric episode.
Cerberus: We learn from the map notes Locke saw on the blast door that the black smoke "monster" is called Cerberus. This could be a reference to the creature of Greek mythology. In Greek mythology, the three-headed watchdog who guards the entrance to the lower world, Hades.
If this is true, it is unknown what Cerberus is guarding.
Sawyer calls Jack "Cool Hand" as they are playing poker. He is referring to Cool Hand Luke, a movie where the character, Luke, is known for his bluffing skills when playing poker.
Sawyer calls Hurley "Mongo". Mongo was a character in the movie Blazing Saddles, who Hurley resembles due to his large size, out of control hair and affinity for candy.
Sawyer refers to Jack as "Amarillo Slim." Thomas Austin "Amarillo Slim" Preston, Jr., is the name of a professional poker player.
