  • A lot of domestic scenes

    10
There's an extended sequence that takes place in the reporter's apartment as she is being attacked. But we also get to see a lot of activity occurring in the homes of the other characters. For example, Rossi brings her to his place to stay with him after the rape. Later, Rossi goes over to Lou's house to talk about how he feels he let Sharon down. And there are some domestic scenes with Art and the new woman in his life, where they deal with the time she was attacked. This episode is very interesting in how there are several stories going on at once, with the newspaper office as the center point, but then there are reverberations that follow the characters into their homes and then back into the office again.moreless

    • Art: We'll be on that phony doctor story first thing tomorrow.
Lou: Put Rosenthal on it. He has the background.
      Art: He has medical training?
Lou: No, but he is a hypochondriac. Close enough.

    • Rossi: If you make your desk any neater, they're going to start wondering if you really have talent.

  • NOTES (2)

    • Lynne Moody re-appears as Sharon in the season 5 episode 'Risk.' So even though Sharon leaves the Tribune at the end of this episode to go back to her hometown, we know that she does return to her career in journalism and her role as a reporter for the newspaper.

    • Kurtwood Smith makes his second appearance on Lou Grant and again he plays a lawman. He originally appeared as federal agent DeRopp in episode 69 "Guns" in Season 3.
