By far one of my favorite episodes of this show. The dialogue was fluid, the soundtrack was cohesive and poignant. All of Louie's deepest and most troubling fears are brought to the surface, and he is offered a chance of redemption which will either insure his immortal fame, or smash any hopes he has of working as a comedian ever again.
This is going to be a fascinating three parter - did they talk to CBS before writing this? Did they talk to Letterman?
I love the fantasy casting element - who would you pick to replace Letterman when he retires? Seinfeld would actually be pretty awesome, as his new web series - "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" has revealed (search it on tv.com, the Larry David pilot is especially worth the watch). Can't wait to see where they take it.
