Love on a Rooftop was a romantic comedy that featured newlyweds David Willis (a struggling apprentice architect) and his wife, Julie (an art student and daughter of a wealthy owner of car dealerships). The couple moves into a tiny walk-up apartment in San Francisco - its only real positive feature is a pull-down stairway that leads to a wonderful view on the building's roof. Friends included the neighbors, the Parkers (hopeless inventor/schemer Stan and his wife Carol), and the program highlighted the family, social, monetary, and day-to-day issues facing the Willis's.
