  • Louis spends $300 on a Frankenstein doll.

    6.1
Apparently, this is what this show is going to be. A poorly written experiment in live action cable-TV.

$300 dollars on a Frankenstein doll? If they are as poor as is suggested, what kind of father allows for the possiblity of his daughter being homeless so that he can buy a doll off the internet? I don't see myself watching this show anymore. It is completely unbelievable, and if you or anyone that you know finds this show to be realistic, then you need some kind of help. This show's only saving grace is that HBO isn't as concerned about ratings as NBC, ABC, or CBS would be.moreless
  • Louie buys Frankenstein doll and lies to his wife

This is a brilliant honest and hilarious show. A perfect episode.

Here are some fantastic things about it:

Kim\'s response to learning Louie lied

The joke \"When\'s the last time you had a sword fight?\"

    the fireworks joke

Kim\'s speech about Louie having a void, Louie\'s response, and her response \"AT least let me have my void\"

This is by far the best situation comedy on t.v. Why? Because it looks like real life, and it cuts through all the **** which has been situation comedy at least since friends - glossy, phony and denatured.

These are real people. They are funny like real people.

It\'s a great, great show and it is really starting to hit its stride with this episode.moreless
