The notes that Connie sends to Pete refers to him as "Peter," which he hates. She also refers to him that way when she arrives at the hospital. However, in "Family Matters" she called him "Pete" constantly from the moment they were reunited.
Pete's ex-wife claims the Phoenix Foundation was more important than his family, which can't be true since they'd been divorced before Pete worked for the foundation.
Pete: I've been independent. I'm going to have to learn to live by a whole new set of rules. I'm going to have to learn to be very dependent.
MacGyver: So what, what's the big deal? You and I have always been dependent on each other.
Pete: Oh, yeah, sure. You provide the brains, and I come up with the paychecks.
Pete: Maybe I would like to handle this alone, okay?
MacGyver: No! No, it's not okay! You've always been there for me. Friendship works two ways, you know?
MacGyver: Pete Thornton's room, please.
Nurse Krandall: 211.
MacGyver: How's he doin'?
Nurse Krandall: If getting him into a hospital gown is any indication, terrible.
The following episodes are used in flashbacks: "Children of Light", "Deep Cover", "Passages", "Easy Target", "Brainwashed", "On a Wing and a Prayer", and "Cleo Rocks".
